Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
